About Dr Kang Yirun Gregory Michael

Prior to Central 24-Hour Clinic Group since 2020, Dr Kang served as an Aviation Medical Officer in the RSAF from 2009 to 2019, where he provided primary and specialist aeromedical care to RSAF aviators, and passed his exit evaluation in Aviation Medicine in 2016. After attaining his Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2018, he left the SAF to pursue his passion in Family Medicine full-time in 2019. He worked as a Resident Doctor at Keat Hong Family Medicine clinic from February 2019 to December 2019, then subsequently attained his Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) in 2020.

Dr Kang was registered as a Family Physician by the Family Physicians Accreditation Board (FPAB) and the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) in 2024. He has been a Faculty Tutor for Professional Writing and Communications - Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) - College Programme since January 2021, and was also appointed as an Examiner for the Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) Examination since October 2025 onwards.

Dr Kang has worked in various disciplines such as Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Dermatology, Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology, Respiratory Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He has also worked at Toa Payoh Polyclinic, where he developed his passion for family medicine.
